Hegra barneskole ligger ca. 10 km øst for Stjørdal sentrum. Skolens eldste bygning ble satt opp på slutten av 1950-tallet og skolen ble betydelig utvidet både på 1970-tallet og 1990-tallet.
Skolen har i år ca. 170 elever og ca. 25 ansatte. SFO har i år ca. 50 brukere og 8 ansatte.
